Welcome to Day 70 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! Over the past nine days, I have looked back at the lessons I have learned while using The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal, and I shared my plans for the remainder of this challenge. In today’s blog, I look back on my last 10 days with the journal and look forward to the next 10.
Looking Back
At my Day 60 Review, I had successfully hit all my goals for 10 days running and wanted to update my approach for the final 30 days with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal.
For the past 10 days, I have been getting to grips with my new habits, while maintaining those that have served me since the start of this challenge.
For the habits in Your Journey, I have continued to set goals. I have also introduced growing seeds to be mindful and set myself the goal of eating no chocolate for the last month of the challenge.
For the habits in Your Fitness, I have increased my Exercising goals, added daily Learning to help me build towards a potential future appearance on Mastermind, and I created a daily ritual of Appreciating with my Angel of Appreciation.
For the habits in Your Relationships, I aim to eat five portions of fruits and vegetables each day, self-care by doing something for myself and enjoying some silence, and connecting with myself, my girlfriend, and my friends and family every day.
By looking back on what has worked (and what hasn’t), I have been able to develop my targets so that they are benefitting all aspects of my wellbeing.
Looking Forward
Now that I have got my targets for the Wellbeing 9-a-Day in good shape, I am going to spend the next 10 days of the blog focusing on a concept that has benefitted me as a person and a writer.
The Hero’s Journey is the story of transformation. It takes a character from the known into the unknown, where they learn valuable lessons that will help them solve problems in their own life and the lives of those whom they love.
In fiction, we have seen countless hero’s journeys in myths and movies, where the Hero is transformed by their journey.
But this same journey is present in our lives, where it takes us from not knowing something to it becoming a key part of us as we move forward in life.
Over the next nine blogs, I want to look more closely at each of the different stages of the Hero’s Journey, giving examples from life and fiction to outline how we can use it to help us in our own journeys.
After all, The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal guides you through a Hero’s Journey that empowers you to transform your wellbeing. By understanding the different stages, it makes it easier to keep going when things get hard, or when life gets in the way.
Call to Action!
Reflect on your journey with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal. Whether you have finished 7 or 70 days, today is as good a time as any to look back on your progress so far. There are lessons in every success and every failure if you take the time to look back on them.
