Welcome to Day 52 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! Yesterday, I began looking at the habits contained within Your Relationships and how they propel you forward on your voyage in life. In today’s blog, I look at how I have used The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal to improve my relationships with my diet, myself, and the people I care about.
Nourishing, Self-caring, and Connecting
Since starting my journey with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal, I have been building daily habits that improve my relationships with the things I put into my body, how I care for my mind and body, and my relationships with the people I care about.
For Nourishing, my initial goal was to hydrate by drinking two litres of water a day. I have since added eating four portions of Nature’s Candy and taking daily vitamins to ensure that my body is getting the vitamins and minerals it needs.
For Self-caring, my main goals have been my daily stretching routines. One is a qigong inspired dynamic stretching routine, while the other is a static routine that both rehabs and prehabs back injuries. I have recently added a new habit to ensure that I do one thing each day that is just for me.
For Connecting, I have made a conscious effort to connect with my girlfriend at home and my friends and family, whether in person or through my phone. My current goal is to connect with my girlfriend, a family member, and a friend each day.
Now 52 days into the journal, these habits have evolved to a point where I am now building multiple habits each day that improve my health and wellbeing.
Relationships and the Wellbeing 9-a-Day
While these goals work for me, each of you will have different needs when it comes to your relationships. Over the coming days, I will share some more of my experiences, but for now, let’s consider some questions about the habits contained within Your Relationships.
How is your relationship with your diet? What habits can you build to ensure that you are increasing your nutritional intake each day?
How is your relationship with yourself? What habits can you build to recover from issues created in the past? Is there anything you can start doing today to prevent issues in the future?
How is your relationship with the people you care about? What habits can you build that will strengthen your relationships with the people you are closest with? Is there anything you can start doing today that will help you build bonds with people outside of your inner circle?
By taking time to think about these questions, you can ensure that your time with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal continues to transform your health and wellbeing for the better.
Call to Action!
Take some time to think about how you can improve your relationships with your diet, yourself, and the people you care about. Break these targets down into something you can do each day to work towards your longer term goal. By taking care of the next steps, you can build towards a future with healthy and productive relationships.
