Blog #51 – Your Relationships

Welcome to Day 51 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! Over the past 10 days, we have taken a closer look at the habits within Your Fitness and how they can help to ensure that you feel fit and healthy for your journey ahead. In today’s blog, I focus on the habits contained within Your Relationships and how they contribute to your health and wellbeing.

Your Diet, Yourself, and Other People

For the past 20 days, we’ve focused on how the habits in Your Journey move you in the right direction in life, while the habits in Your Fitness ensure that you are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit for the journey ahead.

Today, we are going to stay focusing on how your relationships with your diet, yourself, and other people contribute to your overall health and wellbeing.

Just as Setting Goals, Being Mindful and Letting Go move you forward on Your Journey, and Exercising, Learning, and Appreciating improve Your Fitness, Nourishing, Self-caring, and Connecting ensure that Your Relationships help you on your journey towards transformed wellbeing.

By Nourishing yourself with a healthy, balanced diet, Self-caring for your mind and body, and Connecting with the people you care about, you ensure that your relationships are beneficial for you.

The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal empowers you to build three daily habits that help ensure your relationships serve you as you move forward on your journey.

Day by day, little by little, you can take small actions each day that will reap big rewards down the line.

Sailing Your Relationship

Think of yourself as a ship.

Nourishing ensures you use the best fuel possible to propel your ship forward on its voyage. The better the fuel that you use, the better your performance and the cleaner your emission.

Self-caring ensures that you maintain the inside and outside of your vessel each day. Your maintenance routines help to fix existing issues and prevent future problems.

Connecting ensures that you that the people on board your ship have as good a time as possible. By building good relationships with your crew and passengers, you ensure that your voyage is filled with good times and unity.

While this metaphor may leave a lot to the imagination, I hope it helps to illustrate how the three habits in Your Relationships help to ensure that your journey forward progresses smoothly.

Over the next 10 days, I’ll write about my own experiences with the habits contained within Your Relationships and share some of the lessons I have learned while using The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal.

Call to Action!

Think about your relationships with your diet, yourself, and the people you care about. Is there one area that needs more focus than the others? What habit could introduce today that will help ensure that your relationships improve going forward?
