Welcome to Day 43 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! Over the past couple of days, I have considered the importance of finding balance and harmony in your physical, mental, and emotional fitness. In today’s blog, I focus on physical fitness and my love of one of the all-time great personal trainers – Coach Kozak!
To Gym or Not to Gym?
While I enjoy exercising and rarely regret a workout, I have always struggled to get myself to the gym. When I am there, I enjoy it, whether alone or with a friend.
The part I struggle with is that very first part… getting there.
Over the years, I have had various memberships at a variety of gyms across the Newcastle and North Tyneside. There have been brief spells where I have committed for a consistent period, but I invariably fall out of the habit.
Before I learned to drive, I had to get public transport or walk a few miles, adding money and/or time. After learning to drive, I thought that it would be easier, and yet I continued to be a member… without going to the gym.
The solution to my problem presented itself first when recovering from my slipped disc, and then again during the pandemic.
At the recommendation of a friend, I discovered the world of ‘at home’ workouts on YouTube, and I found the personal trainer for me – the winner who was once a beginner, Coach Kozak.
Finding Your Coach Kozak
Exercising at home has been a gamechanger for me. It takes less than a minute to go from deciding to exercise to exercising, and it removes the need to think about what I am going to do.
All I have to do is pick one of the Coach’s many videos and follow him along from start to finish.
Throughout the pandemic, my girlfriend and I would video call and exercise ‘together’, and we have continued with the Coach and Claudia since moving in together.
Whether looking for low impact cardio or a strengthening routine, the HasFit YouTube channel has videos for all levels and types of exercise, and I have found the personal trainer for me without having to pay a penny.
Of course, you don’t need to choose Coach Kozak to get the benefits of exercising at home. From Mr Motivator to a world of other personal trainers, there are thousands of people who can help you on your journey to improved physical fitness.
The important thing is to find a way to make exercise a part of your life. If you don’t know where to look, Coach Kozak and HasFit is a good place to start.
