Welcome to Day 40 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! We are now forty days into the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog and my journey with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal. In today’s blog, I’m going to look back at the last ten days of my journey and look forward to the next ten days, where I will focus on the habits contained within Your Fitness.
Looking Back at My Journey
Over the past 10 days, we have looked at how Setting Goals helps you move towards a brighter future, Being Mindful empowers you to connect with the present, and Letting Go encourages you to give up bad habits formed in the past.
We have looked at the Hero’s Journey and how the structure can help you to understand the process of change. While the structure is based on narratives passed down through the centuries, it can also help us understand how to transform in real life.
The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal is a tool to create positive change in your life. It empowers you to take on your own Hero’s Journey - as the you of today improves upon the you of yesterday to create a better you for tomorrow.
While it is helpful to keep an eye on the last step of the quest, the journal focuses on your next step. By narrowing your focus to the next steps each day, you can ensure that you are walking the right path on your road to transformation.
Looking Forward to My Fitness
Now that I have focused in more closely on the habits contained within Your Journey, I am going to use the next 10 days to look at the habits contained within Your Fitness.
We will see how Exercising can boost your physical fitness, Learning can improve your mental health, and Appreciating can engage your positive emotions.
By putting daily focus into your physical, mental, and emotional fitness, you can help to ensure that you are building daily habits that boost your overall wellbeing.
As it is time for my Day 40 Review, I will also take this opportunity to reflect on my habits and assess whether my goals in The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal are serving my journey.
For the most part, I am still happy with the changes I made during my 30-day review. I am building nine daily habits that are boosting my wellbeing, but not hitting them all every day. My plan is to stick with my current goals until I can hit all my goals on five consecutive days. Once I am able to do this, I will look at increasing my goals.
Call to Action!
Reflect on your journey with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal. Whether you have finished 4 or 40 days, today is as good a time as any to look back on your progress so far. There are lessons in every success and every failure if you take the time to look back on them.
