Welcome to Day 30 of the Wellbeing 9-a-Day blog! Over the past 30 days, I have had the pleasure of sharing some of my thoughts on the W9AD, and various stories from my personal experiences with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal. In today’s blog, I focus on how I have been able to connect with people while writing this blog, and I look back on the past 30 days.
Staying Connected
I am not the best at staying in contact with people. Though I am blessed with a big family and plenty of friends, I know that I have not done enough to connect with people over the years. It is not that I don’t want to. Often, life just gets in the way, and I get distracted by the latest project or prioritise the time I get to myself.
The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal has really helped me to remember to connect with the people I care about.
Each day, I have a goal of connecting with my girlfriend and someone else to make sure that I have strong connections at home and outside of my home.
Over the past month, I have regularly connected with family, friends, and colleagues. I was also blessed to host in-person and online Wellbeing 9-a-Day workshops for Live Well with Cancer, which were a wonderful way to connect with friends old and new.
Writing this blog has also been a great way to connect with you virtually. I hope you have enjoyed reading my blogs as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
Day 30 Review
Now that I am 30 days into The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal and my blog writing fundraising challenge, it is time to look back on my journey so far.
For My Journey, I have set daily goals and let go of two bad habits that were negatively affecting my overall wellbeing. Though I have missed some days, I have been mindful on most days with regular box breathing.
For My Fitness, I have boosted my emotional fitness by appreciating two things each day. On most days, I have also walked at least 5,000 steps a day and read a chapter of a book to improve my physical and mental fitness.
For My Relationships, I have connected with at least my girlfriend and someone else every day. On most days, I have nourished myself by drinking water and eating Nature’s Candy, and self-cared by completing my daily stretching routines.
I am happy with how I have been progressing with The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal, and I am looking forward to increasing my goals over the coming days and weeks.
I have also been pleased with how my blog writing challenge has gone so far. I am also delighted to be over halfway to my target of raising £500! Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.
